This began as a new door from Lowes. Our shop added the applied molding, cut out the panel for the glass and built the interior cut out shutters. The door was started with a dark mahogany stain and then had multiple layers of paint that were cracked, dirtied with glaze and flyspecking, then scraped off multiple times. We repeated the experience of a really old door. It is top-coated with thick yellowing polyurethane to complete the illusion of age.
