HOW WE LIKE TO WORK

We are serious about quality of our finishes and our working conditions.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Our finishes are painted at the same time wallpaper would be hung. Finishing in a dirty, chaotic (yes, they all are) construction site makes the work more difficult, and is distracting to the artist . The HVAC must be on to insure consistent humidity because our materials and finishes are finicky and sometimes change appearance if conditions change.

PREPARATION

Our edge prep work is of the highest quality because a crisp clean edge is the first sign of a professional job. All our edges are masked prior to finishing. After the masking is removed, the final edges are then cleaned and touched up. Our finishes are also painted all the way to the edge. A finish that fades at the edges and corners is a sign of inexperience and cutting corners (literally).

THE PROCESS

Because our finishes are multiple layers, it is not possible (even for us) to visualize the final finish in the middle of the finishing process. This is why we make samples of the final finish for the client to approve, because it is that final finish that will ultimately be viewed. We suggest our clients take a trip while we are working. We jokingly told one couple to go to Paris, and they did. They had a fabulous time and came home to a completed project!
